Sydney lookouts

There are two places in Sydney that give you great views of the city.

1. The harbour bridge is a great place to see the sights of Sydney from, whether it is just walking across the bridge or doing the bridge climb that goes to the very top of the arch. The bridge climb takes you 134m above the harbour.

2. Sydney Tower: The observation deck at Sydney tower gives you a 360 view of the city from the Opera house right out to the Blue Mountains. The tower is 250m above the ground and contains a restaurant and coffee lounge to help you soak in the view.

It is worth seeing the views of Sydney at different times such as dawn, dusk, during the day and at night. The lights of Sydney are fantastic at night.

NSW and The Blue Mountians

You visit to NSW may get its kick start in Sydney and likely include the city’s famous attractions, Sydney Harbour, the majestic Harbour Bridge and famous Opera House this however need only be the beginning of your discovery of New South Wales.

Only 2 hrs drive from Sydney is the The Blue Mountians, with it's famous Three Sisters rock pinnacles. the area is renowned for bushwalking, rock climbing and canoeing.

A trip to The Blue Mountians would not be complete without:

Riding the Katoomba Scenic Railway, the world’s steepest railway.

Descending the series of steps by The Three Sisters rock formation to the cool and refreshing valley floor, with its Scenic Walkway boardwalk.

A trip on the new Skyway across the Jamison Valley with it's spectacular and breathtaking views.

Before going travelling you will need to obtain and pack your passport, ticket and travellers cheques, your driving licence, a certified copy of your birth certicate
and marriage certificate. Photocopy all of these several times and put one in the bottom of your back pack and leave a copy at home with folks, just in case.

You could even consider posting a copy of all your documents to yourself at a friends house in the country you are travelling too. Just on the off chance something should go wrong you may want to include a recent photo of yourself and anyone who will be travelling with.
