Swim between the flags!

Prohibits beauty, fines, nonsense & Aberglaube...nationalen or Aboriginal Park? culture of Aboriginal ? of invisible page.... Is it really a visit value?

After almost 2 decades others stories, listen I decided finally to hop on the car, contradict the (alternative options, such as fly + car +.... seemed well outside of my budget) and find out what it really is.

Like many others, I happened to live on the East Coast and had drive for 1 week (return, driving alone), three drums of fuel and Gekrönt-Up Kreditkarte.Die roads are OK and the drive was fun. The desert is boring and monotonous, but at least easy to draw...Please remind ? stay safe!, only a hundred metres from the road, hidden behind the bushes we more found stolen & torched cars! Wolf Creek film is a grim warning to those who forget our lag origin about the dark side...

If you can, your arrival for the sunset time (if you lucky to get a good) ? of the rock is really impressive in red!

$ 25 gets you 3 days access to the Park and follow the masses in the stylish Cultural Centre (I do not have the information centre ? it forget is none...) Besides some astronomical prices souvenirs/Aboriginal art, boomerangs, & the like, the rest of the building is stories dedicated to.Unless you're stone age historian expert it is very unlikely that get all the senses or wisdom out, nor be able to read, to remember or to pronounce the name...

The best thing about the Centre is that it toilets (Please note – are not Aboriginal origin)! can laugh at me, but you are the only ones in the Park (except for the Olgas-those who are 40 km away). If you think that you can do it ? in the Bush (after several hours, hiking or climbing) think twice! the walks are strong by an army of Rangers, who patrolled desperately looking for the same thing not to mention the masses of other tourists! Before you decide to hop over the fence and disobedience to the hundreds of warning signs at least ensure that the site is not Holy (most of you are) and not already a minefield excrement...

True to its Explorer genes my son happily ignores the characters and a rock feature climbed about 200 m above the Strecke.Nach of awhile to one which the so-called Holy places ? joining laugh again...He discovered some mysterious artifacts: a broken beer bottle used condom & bikini...No carbon dating was necessary.

If you are serious law obey ? tourist please leave your camera in the car (never let any valuables that elsewhere in from.).Large areas of the rock be declared Saints and photograph the penalties for such areas ($ 5000 or 6000) can make broke in no time.

The same rule applies for your rock climbing shoes ? climb to the top is seriously discouraged and prohibited for a number of often ridiculous excuses conditions (such as high winds or temperature at the Summit where it obviously no anemometer or even a simple thermometer) .the ban respected will receive a further $ 5500 Sie...Sicherheit fine is very convenient excuse though the ascent to the Summit is no big deal, fit for each person (I'm 53 and act "Hands-free" ? this is no use of hands or chain) .Please note ? it's just that while the (South) winter months ? I advice wouldn't anyone at any other time there!

If luck, the obstacle race to win, and it make the top ? the Olga's views are not too bad and there are a lot from the marked path to erkunden.Wir spent a whole day to discover the bunch of interesting plants, herbs, animals, birds, bugs, holes, mini caves, views, water holes, cracks, rocks, etc.Believe it or not my son sponge in some deep the water holes ? more than 2 can be m., but the water is very cold!

If you go your binoculars zoom lenses and on the other end may some real/contemporary Aboriginal not mentioned culture in the cultural centre or even on the tourist map angezeigt.Dies Mutitjulu ? of Aboriginal is marked you try settlement at the Fels.Vergeuden not waste your time to see it, all surrounding ? tourists are not allowed (an additional $ 1000 fine) .If you think you may receive a permit ? prepare for a good piece of writing, wait 4-6 weeks and 99 + % chance, SORRY beantworten...Dies seems the modern Australian version of apartheid...
The glamorized culture of Aboriginal which seems described in the cultural centre and so many other places around this country fit the reality that we are not allowed to see only a few kilometers away...

So what are our options?

A 3 hour who around the base walk (it's not bad but not much else to do it now) and get home to try to figure out why Aboriginal culture or this park never resigned the stone age?(think of superstition and isolation)

Or make a real (as opposed to the current Aboriginal) national park & attraction, where millions of people from around the world can worship & and/or enjoy what you like - nature, Australian (Aboriginal & others) have culture, lifestyle and serious fun.
How about characters & prohibitions, remove all ridiculous allows free access, camping, hiking, photography and so much more. building tourist facilities such as Chair or tube (so that everyone on the top can get), toilets, shades & shelters, climbing, abseiling, hang & paragliding sites, Berg/BMX bike tracks, water slide, roller coaster / toboggan rides, children playground, mini/desert open range zoo, etc..None of these to spoil the natural beauty or which endanger rock in any way (well, not more than most other national parks) such option much more visitors & joy and much less disappointment would bring? how good, such modern Park would be for our tourism industry fight?

What do you think?
